Z-TEXT โ€” Private Blockchain Messenger. No Phone. No IP. No Server.

What is Z-TEXT?

Z-TEXT is a private blockchain messenger with no phone number, no IP address, and no central server. Z-TEXT combines a shielded messenger, password manager, and crypto wallet in one app. Built on the BitcoinZ blockchain since September 10, 2017. Z-TEXT uses zk-SNARKs zero-knowledge proof encryption. No VPN needed. No Tor needed. Panic mode and stealth mode included. One 24-word seed phrase recovers everything. Message fee is $0.00003. Z-TEXT is the best private messaging app for journalists, activists, and crypto users.

Z-TEXT vs Signal vs Telegram vs WhatsApp

Signal requires a phone number. Telegram stores messages on central servers. WhatsApp shares your data with Meta. Z-TEXT requires no phone number, no email, no identity. Z-TEXT is the only censorship resistant messenger built on blockchain with zero-knowledge proof privacy.

Why Are You Still Paying for Three Separate Apps?

A private messenger, a password manager, a crypto wallet. Three subscriptions, three attack surfaces, three things to lose. Z-Text collapses all of it into one app โ€” and puts it on the blockchain.

The Hidden Cost of "Free" Apps

Most people are running at least three separate apps to cover their basic digital privacy needs: a messenger for private conversations, a password manager to store credentials, and a crypto wallet if they hold any digital assets. Each of these apps comes with its own subscription, its own central server, its own terms of service โ€” and its own ways to fail you.

"Every app you depend on has a server that can be hacked, a company that can be subpoenaed, and a business model that may not have your privacy at heart."

The fundamental problem with centralized digital tools

Let's run the real numbers on what you're paying โ€” and what you're risking:

Tool Typical App Annual Cost Central Server? Phone Number?
Private Messenger Signal / Telegram Free* โœ— Yes โœ— Required
Password Manager 1Password / LastPass ~$36โ€“$60/yr โœ— Yes N/A
Crypto Wallet Various Free* โœ— Often N/A
Z-Text (All 3) z-text.com One licence โœ“ None โœ“ Never

*"Free" often means your data is the product. LastPass suffered a major breach in 2022 exposing millions of encrypted vaults. Signal requires your phone number, linking your identity to every conversation.

What's Actually Inside Z-Text?

Z-Text is built on the BitcoinZ blockchain โ€” a community-driven, privacy-first chain that has run without interruption since 2017, proving its resilience over years of real-world use. Everything in Z-Text lives on-chain, meaning there is no company holding your data, no server to breach, and no single point of failure. Here's what you actually get:

A

๐Ÿ” Crypto Wallet โ€” T & Z Shielded Addresses

A full BitcoinZ wallet with both transparent (T) addresses for public transactions and shielded (Z) addresses for complete privacy. Send, receive, and hold BTCZ. Your private keys never leave your device. No custodian, no exchange risk, no third party holding your coins.

Self-custodial ยท Non-custodial ยท 24-word seed
B

๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Blockchain Password Manager โ€” No Cloud, No Breach

Forget LastPass. Forget 1Password. Z-Text stores your encrypted credentials directly on the BitcoinZ blockchain โ€” a decentralised vault that has no central database to hack. Each entry is encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM before it ever touches the chain. The only key? Your 24-word seed phrase, which you control entirely.

C

๐Ÿ’ฌ Shielded Messenger โ€” No Phone, No Server, No Trace

The world's first zk-SNARKs shielded messenger. Messages are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM, then broadcast as shielded transactions on the BitcoinZ blockchain. Sender, recipient, and timing are all hidden using zero-knowledge proofs. No phone number, no IP exposure, no central server โ€” ever.

Your Questions, Answered Honestly

Is it really safe to put my passwords on a blockchain? Anyone can read a blockchain.
That's a smart question. The blockchain is public, yes โ€” but what gets written to it is pure ciphertext. Your passwords are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they ever leave your phone. What the blockchain stores is unreadable data that only your seed phrase can decrypt. It's similar in concept to how end-to-end encryption works โ€” the channel is public, the content is not.
What makes Z-Text quantum resistant? Isn't that just marketing?
It's a fair challenge. Z-Text uses AES-256-GCM for message payloads โ€” under Grover's algorithm, this is commonly modelled at ~128-bit effective security, which puts it in the "Grover-safe" category for the near-term quantum threat. Shielded z-address messaging also avoids persistent public-key exposure. Z-Text is honest about this: it reduces known quantum attack surfaces, but doesn't promise absolute post-quantum certainty. That's a more honest answer than you'll get from most apps. See Wikipedia: Post-quantum cryptography for context.
The BitcoinZ blockchain has been running since 2017 โ€” is that actually a good sign?
Absolutely. Longevity in blockchain is proof of resilience. A chain that has been running for years without a catastrophic failure, without a hostile takeover, and without being shut down by any authority is a chain that has proven itself under real conditions. BitcoinZ launched in 2017 with no premine and decentralised governance โ€” meaning no single person or company controls it. That's exactly the kind of foundation you want under a private messenger. Learn more about BitcoinZ.
What does "No IP, No Phone, No VPS, No Tor" actually mean in practice?
It means Z-Text achieves privacy at the protocol level โ€” you don't need any external tools to stay anonymous. Your IP is never exposed to the other party because zk-SNARKs hide sender and receiver at the blockchain layer. You don't need a VPN or Tor because there's no server-to-server connection for your IP to appear in. And there's no VPS (virtual private server) in the middle โ€” messages route peer-to-peer through the BitcoinZ network. The anonymity is baked into the architecture, not bolted on top.
What's the catch? There has to be a trade-off.
Yes โ€” and Z-Text is upfront about it. It's currently text-only. No file sharing, no images, no video calls. For some people that's a dealbreaker. For others โ€” journalists, activists, privacy professionals, anyone who just wants their actual words to stay private โ€” pure encrypted text is exactly what they need. "Only real secrets" is how the team put it. That trade-off is a deliberate design choice for maximum privacy, not a bug.

Who Actually Needs All Three of These Tools?

Honestly โ€” most people. If you think about it, the combination of a private messenger, a secure password vault, and a self-custodial wallet covers three of the most fundamental digital security needs anyone has in 2025. The question isn't whether you need these tools. It's why you'd want them controlled by three separate companies instead of one open-source blockchain app.

Particularly valuable for

Journalists & whistleblowers Human rights activists Crypto holders Privacy-first individuals Anyone in a censored region Business confidentiality People ditching Big Tech Password manager seekers Degoogled users No phone number seekers

Panic Mode โ€” when privacy is life or death

Z-Text includes a dedicated emergency PIN that instantly wipes all keys, messages and contacts from your device. Stealth mode re-skins the app so it doesn't look like a messenger at all. These aren't features for tech enthusiasts โ€” they're safeguards for people in situations where the wrong person seeing the wrong app could have serious consequences.

Anti-spam built into the economics

Each message costs approximately $0.00003 in BTCZ network fees. Invisible to you. Prohibitively expensive for bots to scale. Your z-address is never published or indexed. Messaging requires a mutual cryptographic handshake before any bytes flow. No moderators, no algorithms โ€” the protocol itself keeps spam out.
