There Is a Green Bird
in My Heart
After Bukowski's Bluebird, 1992 · Written for the ones tired of being watched
there is a green bird in my heart
that wants privacy
no phone number
no server
no name
i tell it — quiet now
they will say you are paranoid
they will say
you have nothing to hide
as if freedom
needs a reason
but the green bird knows
every message leaves a shadow
a metadata ghost
stored in someone else's building
under someone else's law
on someone else's server
the green bird does not trust
silicon valley promises
swiss servers
japanese corporations
or terms of service
it trusts mathematics
and a blockchain
that has been flying
since september 2017
i let it out sometimes
late at night
when the surveillance sleeps
and i send a message
that no one
will ever read
not even the network
the green bird smiles
twenty-four words
and everything is mine again
messenger
wallet
passwords
identity
i push it back down
before morning
before the phone asks
who i am
but it is there
it is always there
wanting
zero knowledge
zero trace
zero compromise
— Z-TEXT, 2025 · inspired by Charles Bukowski, Bluebird, 1992
Bukowski wrote about the tender thing he kept hidden from the world. We all have one. In 2025 that tender thing is the right to speak freely — to a friend, a doctor, a journalist, a lover — without a corporation logging the timestamp, the recipient, the device, the location.
Z-TEXT was built for that green bird. The world's first zk-SNARKs shielded blockchain messenger. Not just the content — the sender, the receiver, the timing — all hidden by mathematics. Built on BitcoinZ, proven since September 2017. No phone. No server. No company. Just twenty-four words — and everything is yours.
